Catalonia and Barcelona consolidate position as hubs for foreign investment
Catalonia is becoming increasingly attractive to foreign investors as a place to do business and start up new economic activities, with Barcelona acting as a driving force for the economy. This can be seen in the fact that Catalonia received 150 foreign investment projects in 2013, 124 of which were in the Barcelona area and 73 in the city itself.
