PORT OF BARCELONA: RECORD EXPORTS AND AGREEMENT FOR RAIL ACCESS
The Port of Barcelona has hit a new record for export containers handled in a semester, from January to June this year, with a total of 276,566 TEUs (20-foot containers) shipped to various destinations around the world. After registering the highest volume of export containers in one year in 2012, the Port of Barcelona has seen significant growth in the first half of 2013, up 12%.
